With the New Year comes the opening of a lovely new coffee hangout on James Street South.

Trueshot Coffee opened its doors in late December, to the joy of Hamilton’s coffee lovers.

Located just down the street from Odds Bar and La Piazza, and around the corner from One Duke and Augusta’s bars and eateries, Trueshot finds itself in good company.

Housed in a historic row house at 158 James St. S, the interior of Trueshot is all exposed brick, giant windows and understated and timeless modern decor. It’s a lovely mix of history and newness.

The space is bright and cosy and the perfect place to sit down and sip lattes with friends or hunker down and get some work done fuelled by a delicious cappuccino.

The menu features classic cafe caffeine offerings: coffee, lattes, handcrafted espressos and teas and more. They also offer a number of yummy baked goods to enjoy with your drink of choice.

On one chilly January afternoon, I sipped on a beautifully creamy latte which proved to be the perfect mid-afternoon pick-me-up I was in desperate need of.

The day I had the pleasure of visiting this gorgeous coffee hangout, business was brisk with a line up practically out the door. In no time at all, everyone was happy and taken care of: service was incredibly efficient and so very friendly.

Trueshot is the perfect addition to this little corner of Hamilton. It’s warm and welcoming and the service is fabulous.

Why take my word for it though? Get down there and see for yourself: you won’t be disappointed.
