Hamilton Paramedics decided to pay a visit to the residence of 10 year old Fiona after hearing that her birthday party had to be cancelled due to COVID-19.
Parked outside her home, paramedics blared their sirens and sang happy birthday.
@HPS_Paramedics got wind that Fiona had to cancel her 10th Birthday party due to #COVIDー19. So some of our staff volunteered their time to stop in and sing! #HappyBirthday Fiona , from all of us & thanks for practicing #SocialDistancing pic.twitter.com/hcHyzvosFT

“Happy birthday Fiona from all of us and thanks for practicing social distancing,” Hamilton Paramedics wrote.
“Its hard to postpone/cancel important milestones or events but Fiona stepped up, recognizing the need to keep her friends, family and community safe.”
Fiona later recorded a video for paramedics as a thank you.
“Thank you very much for singing happy birthday to me,” Fiona said. “I appreciated it.”
