Vehicle clocked at over double speed limit; Hamilton teen faces charges

A vehicle was clocked travelling more than double the speed limit in Brant County.

While conducting patrols, officers recorded a vehicle at 164 km/h in an 80 km/h zone, more than double the posted speed limit on Colborne Street East in Brant County on May 4, OPP said in a press release on May 28.

Police pulled the vehicle over.

A 19-year-old Hamilton resident faces stunt driving and exceeding the speed limit by 50 km/h charges, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for 14 days, and the driver’s license has been suspended for 30 days.
