UNSOLVED: Female victim thrown from moving vehicle in Hamilton

It was over ten years ago when police responded to a motor vehicle collision involving an injured person on Craigmiller and Rosslyn Avenue in Hamilton.

The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. on May 24, 2010.

Paramedics attended the scene and tended to Bonnie Tatti, who was found lying on Rosslyn.

While police initially believed that she had been run over by a vehicle, more information came to light indicating that she had instead been thrown from a moving vehicle.

“Witnesses told police that a black GMC Jimmy had been parked on the wrong side of Rosslyn facing the wrong way,” police said.

“Witnesses heard someone yell 'Hey!' just before the black GMC Jimmy sped off, slightly squealing the tires as it left.”

Police say the witnesses then looked out to the street, saw the victim lying on the roadway, and called 911.

While it’s believed that the vehicle frequented the area prior to this incident, witnesses could not identify the vehicle’s driver.

This homicide remains unsolved to this day.

Anyone who may have information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Major Crime Unit at 905-546-3829.
