Two suspects sought after male fatally shot in Hamilton

At 1:35 a.m., police received reports of a male being shot outside Boulevard Billiards at York Boulevard and Queen Street.

“Upon arrival of first responders a male was found on the sidewalk outside the establishment with vital signs absent,” police say.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Based on witnesses’ statements, police are searching for two male suspects who were seen arguing with the victim prior to the shooting.

The first suspect is described as a lighter skinned black male, no facial hair, wearing a dark toque, dark hoodie, and a dark puffy jacket. The second suspect is described as a darker skinned black male, wearing a dark hoodie, dark pants, and a dark jacket.

This is Hamilton’s 10th homicide of 2019.

The victim was taken to the Forensic Pathology Unit at the Hamilton General Hospital, where an autopsy will later be conducted.

Investigators are expected to remain at the scene throughout the day.
