Two Hamilton residents arrested after drugs and handgun seized

Police have made two arrests in a recent drug trafficking investigation.
Police have made two arrests in a recent drug trafficking investigation.
On Friday, January 31, officers conducted a search in an outbuilding in the area of Mohawk Road West and Garth Street.
“The building had been renovated into an apartment type residence,” police say. “During the search, police located a couple living inside with evidence of drug trafficking.”
The following items were seized during the search:
- Handgun – semi-auto, 22 calibre
- 30 grams of Cocaine – Value $3000
- 15 grams of Crack Cocaine – $1500
- Canadian Currency
- Digital scales, cell phones

31 year old Hamilton man Jamal Webster and 28 year old Hamilton woman Samantha Lynn Fraser were arrested. The charges are as follows:
Jamal Webster:
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine x 2
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid
- Proceeds of Crime under $5000
Samantha Lynn Fraser:
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Fail to Comply with Recognizance
- Fail to Comply with Probation Adult x 3
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid
Both were brought into custody with their bail opposed.
