Targeted shooting in Hamilton leaves one man with serious injuries

A shooting in Hamilton leaves one man fighting for his life in hospital, while suspects remain at large.

On Friday (Nov. 10) shortly before 9 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot of a plaza near 640 Queenston Rd in east Hamilton.

Police say, a 22-year-old resident of Hamilton was located and was suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to a hospital, where he is currently in serious condition.

Investigators say, witnesses observed a four-door black sedan with a rear spoiler fleeing the scene of the shooting, westbound on Queenston Road.

Authorities suspect this incident to be a targeted attack and are examining CCTV footage in the vicinity to identify those involved.
