The discovery of a “suspicious package” at Hamilton Police’s Central Station on King William Street that had police on high alert and forced the closure of the station has now been resolved and the station re-opened.

Police were asking residents for their “cooperation and understanding as we work through this” and to visit either the Mountain Station or East End Station if they need to make a report.

King William Street between Ferguson Avenue and Catharine Street was closed to traffic but has now re-opened.
