Stoney Creek man wanted in connection to Hamilton shooting

Hamilton Police have issued an arrest warrant for a may they say was involved in a shooting incident at a residential home on Keith Street in Hamilton.

On February 25, 2020, shortly after 9:30 a.m., a man and a woman sleeping inside their Keith Street residence awoke to someone knocking at their front door.

A man entered the home and engaged in an argument with the man who lived in the house which led to him being shot in the leg. The suspect then left the area in a vehicle, police say.

According to police, this is considered to be a targeted incident.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police have identified the outstanding suspect as 40-year-old Marlin Wilson of Stoney Creek.

The firearm has not been located and he is considered to be armed and dangerous. Wilson is known to move in and out of neighbouring GTA communities with ties to Toronto.

Wilson, police say, should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Wilson is described as:

  • 40 years old
  • Skinny build
  • 6 feet in height
  • Tattoos on neck
  • Blue/white track pants
  • Blue hoodie overtop his head
  • Black winter jacket

Wilson is facing the following charges:

  • Possession of Firearm
  • Knowledge of Possession of Firearm
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a Firearm
  • Careless Use/Transport of Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • Point Firearm X 2
  • Possession Contrary to Order X 3
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Robbery with Firearm
  • Utter Threats to Cause Death
  • Mischief Under $5000
