Shooting on Stoney Creek Mountain in Hamilton prompt police investigations

Hamilton Police are probing a shooting on Stoney Creek Mountain that occurred before midnight.

On Friday (Dec. 1) police responded to the area of Bradbury Road and Penny Lane —north of Mud Street East— after receiving reports of shots fired into a house.

Upon arrival, police believe a shooting had taken place.

It was reported that a man inside the home had his arm grazed by a bullet which went through the back wall.

Police later confirmed that there were no physical injuries as a result of the incident.

This remains an active investigation, and authorities have not disclosed whether they believe the suspect and victim had any prior association or if the incident was targeted.

Authorities are urging residents in the area to review their surveillance cameras and vehicle dash camera footage for any suspicious activity between 11 p.m. and 12 a.m.
