Several Catholic schools in Hamilton’s West end were dismissed early due to a continued power outage.
Several Catholic schools in Hamilton’s West end were dismissed early due to a continued power outage.
The Hamilton-Wentworth District Catholic School Board announced around 11 a.m. on Monday (Sept. 14) that students were being dismissed immediately from St. Joseph CES, Canadian Martyrs CES and St. Mary CSS.
“Parents/guardians are asked to pick up their children as soon as possible,” a Tweet from the board said.
A power outage has been impacting thousands of Hamiltonians throughout the day on Monday.
Alectra Utilities has said that the cause of the outage is a supply problem from Hydro One.
