Section of major Hamilton street to close for four months

Hamilton’s Barton Street will be partially closed for four months starting Friday (Aug. 4).
The City of Hamilton said road construction will make it inaccessible for eastbound traffic between Woodward Avenue and Parkdale Avenue.
Motorists are advised to take an alternate route.
In addition, traffic will be affected along the Red Hill Valley Parkway between Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway and Queen Elizabeth Way until Aug. 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for catch basin cleaning. Motorists may experience minor delays.
