Road rage incident leads to weapons and drug charges for Hamilton man.

Hamilton police say that last Tuesday (Sept. 17) afternoon, they were called to an area on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway to reports of a weapon.

The incident, police say, started out as a driving dispute but escalated when one of the drivers reportedly pointed what appeared to be a handgun at the other driver.

No one was injured in the incident and the suspect driver immediately drove away.

Upon investigation, police were able to track the suspect and his vehicle at an area near Upper Wentworth and Fennell Avenue the following day.

The suspect resisted arrest but was eventually arrested without injury to himself or others.

At the time of his arrest, police say, the suspect was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and a subsequent search of the car uncovered a Daisy Powerline pellet gun and cocaine.

  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000
  • Assault Peace Officer
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking-cocaine
