Power outage affecting more than a thousand Hamilton residents

Quite a few residents are without power this morning in northwest Hamilton.

At 9:11 a.m., Alectra Utilities reported an outage in the area of James Street to Cootes Drive and from Lake Ontario to the escarpment.

Approximately 1104 homes and businesses are affected.

“The cause of the outage is a supply problem from Hydro One,” Alectra reports.

Crews have been dispatched and power is estimated to return by 11:00 a.m.
