NaRoma Pizza, a longstanding business on Locke Street, has shuttered after years of construction along the street.

NaRoma Pizza, a longstanding business on Locke Street, has shuttered after years of construction along the street.

Late last month, the restaurant posted on social media that they would be closed until further notice. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to reopen at their Locke Street location.

Posts on the restaurant’s social media accounts imply that the high cost of rent in the Locke Street location and the financial toll of the prolonged construction played a part in the closure.

The thing is, with a Hamilton business like NaRoma, you can’t keep them down for long.

NaRoma Pizza Bar has reopened at Scoly’s Hometown Market on Nebo Road.

Earlier this month, the pizzeria announced that they’d scaled things down a little — including their prices.

“Who says smaller isn’t better, smaller prices that is…” an Instagram post announcing the opening of the new location said.

“Nothing has changed. Besides the location, and the prices,” another NaRoma post says. “All pizza’s minimum 30% cheaper. We base our prices (as any restaurant should) on rent costs. Premium rent premium prices.”
