Hamilton Police are planning an increased presence in the neighbourhood as they say they have gotten wind of plans for an unsanctioned party.

They hope the increased police presence will discourage disruptive partyers.

The police say they will be enacting a zero-tolerance approach to large parties and open alcohol on the streets and they have, in collaboration with McMaster University, been visiting residences to remind students to ‘respect their neighbourhood and community.’

Police are encouraging people in the neighbourhood to reach out in the event of disruptive behaviour caused by excessive partying.

For police emergencies, call 911. Any non-emergencies can be reported at 905-549-4925.
