Police stop driver for stunt driving in Hamilton

A 31-year-old man is facing stunt driving charges after allegedly driving twice the speed limit in Hamilton. 

A 31-year-old man is facing stunt driving charges after allegedly driving twice the speed limit in Hamilton. 

Hamilton police allege that on May 21, officers were conducting speed enforcement in the King and Macklin area when they stopped a vehicle that was travelling 120 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. 

Police say the driver was charged with stunt driving and speeding offences. 

According to police, the vehicle was impounded for seven days and the man’s license was seized. 

“The Hamilton Police Service would like to remind drivers to please drive within the posted speed limits,” police said in a news release.
