Police seek Brantford man in Hamilton break and enter

Hamilton Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a Brantford man who is wanted for breaking into a Hamilton residence and stealing four handguns and one shotgun.

Hamilton Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a Brantford man who is wanted for breaking into a Hamilton residence and stealing four handguns and one shotgun.

On Tuesday (Oct. 15) shortly after 8:30 a.m., a man broke into a residence located in the area of Upper Wellington Street and Mohawk Road East, Hamilton. During the incident, four handguns and one shotgun were stolen. The residents were not home at the time.

The Criminal Investigation Bureau from the Mountain Station has continued to investigate and a suspect has been identified. Police have been granted a warrant of arrest for Shawn Gregory Marriott from Brantford.

Marriott may be in possession of a red, four-door 2005 Toyota Corolla with Ontario licence plate CJXW599.

Marriott, 41, is considered to be armed and dangerous. If you see him or his vehicle do not approach, contact 911 immediately.

The investigation continues as police attempt to locate Marriott and the outstanding firearms. He faces charges of break and enter and theft over $5,000.
