Police searching for woman who escaped from St. Joseph’s Forensic Psychiatry Unit in Hamilton

Hamilton Police Service (HPS) are searching for a woman from Hamilton.
Just before 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, HPS was notified that 38-year-old Crystal Lavergne had escaped custody from St. Joseph’s Forensic Psychiatry Unit.
Lavergne was last seen in the area of West 5th Street and Fennell Avenue.
She’s described as white, approximately 5’1” tall, roughly 150 lbs, with short blonde hair, a star tattoo above the right side of her lip, and a chin and nose piercing.

She was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, maroon shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, a checker fanny pack and glasses.
Anyone who sees Lavergne is instructed to contact 9-1-1 and not to approach her, as she may become hostile.
