Hamilton Police Service are looking for a motor vehicle that allegedly played a significant role in a collision that took the life of a 23-year-old man.
The incident occurred on Saturday(Aug. 26) just before 9 a.m., when the 23-year-old was driving a black BMW westbound on the Lincoln Alexander Pkwy near Upper James St.
Police say, the driver lost control of the BMW and crossed the center median.
After that it collided with a Ford motor vehicle, operated by a 72-year-old woman. The 23-year-old was pronounced at the scene and the 72 year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police have reasons to believe that a second vehicle could be involved in this collision.
They are now looking for a dark coloured Infinity motor vehicle that was travelling westbound on the Lincoln Alexander Pkwy at the time of the collision.
“The driver and/or owner of the Infinity vehicle has been asked to come forward,” Hamilton Police Service said in a press release.
People who have witnessed the collision and haven’t yet spoken to police are asked to call 905-546-4753.
