Hamilton police are investigating a Wednesday night collision that resulted in the city’s seventh driver fatality of 2019.

Shortly before 9:30 p.m., police say a Honda Civic was travelling southbound on Fiddler’s Green between Book and Butter Rd W when the vehicle crossed the centre line and collided with a GMC Sierra pick-up truck that was travelling northbound on Fiddler’s Green.

The head-on collision resulted in the death of the female driver of the Honda and minor injuries to the male driver of the GMC.

Police say the identity of the female victim has not been confirmed.
