An early morning car chase has resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old Glabrook man.
Shortly after 4:30 a.m., Hamilton Police say an officer observed a black Ford F150 pick-up truck driving behind a business located in the area of Wilson St W and Portia Dr.
They say once the driver saw police, the vehicle attempted to evade them.
“The vehicle failed to stop despite the activation of lights and sirens on the police cruiser. Due to the lack of vehicular traffic and speeds being slightly above the posted speed limit, police maintained a safe distance behind the suspect vehicle”
Hamilton Police said the chase “proceeded through several communities” and ended in a survey in the area of Garth St and Stone Church Rd W.
Officers say the chase resulted in a foot chase before the suspect was caught by police.
The Glanbrook man was reportedly driving a vehicle despite a suspended license. The resulting arrest was also a violation of a court order.
