P.M. Trudeau visits Hamilton: Joint investment announced for affordable housing

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited Hamilton today(July 31), marking his presence at a news conference where he announced $64 million in funding to address the city’s affordable housing needs.
Amid the announcement, Trudeau was seen sporting a bandage in the middle of his forehead.
According to a spokesperson for the Prime Minister, Alison Murphy, Trudeau sustained a minor injury while playing with his kids over the weekend.

The allocated funding aims to build and repair 214 homes within the area, bolstering efforts to enhance the availability of affordable housing for Hamilton residents.
“I want to thank the Prime Minister, our federal Members of Parliament, City Council and all our affordable housing partners for their continued efforts on behalf of the people of Hamilton,” Mayor Andrea Horwath said in her statement.
