One of the biggest rock bands performs at Grey Cup today in Hamilton Ontario

Green Day, the Grammy award-winning band, is set to electrify the halftime show at the Grey Cup in Hamilton today (Nov. 19)
Renowned as one of the globe’s most iconic punk rock bands, the CFL announced that Green Day is slated to lead the charge at the Twisted Tea Grey Cup Halftime Show for the 110th Grey Cup, taking place at Tim Hortons Field.
The band exclaimed, “You better be ready because we’re about to turn the Grey Cup green and into the loudest f****** night in CFL history!”
Formed in Berkeley California, in 1986, skyrocketed to fame with their 1994 album, Dookie. With over 75 million records sold, five Grammy Awards, and a coveted spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, they are set to headline the Twisted Tea Grey Cup Halftime Show at the 110th Grey Cup in Hamilton.
Entertainment Weekly hails Green Day as “The most influential band of their generation, while Rolling Stone attests, “Green Day have inspired more young bands to start than any act this side of Kiss, and that doesn’t seem to be changing.”
This marks the third year Twisted Tea has sponsored the halftime show for the 110th Grey Cup, with Mike Masters of Moosehead Breweries LTD expressing excitement about what Green Day has in store for Hamilton.
For those unable to snag tickets to the main event, there are over 40 events are planned to celebrate the Grey Cup, including the Built in the Hammer Grey Cup Music Festival from Nov. 16-19, featuring both free and ticketed events with diverse programming each night. Fan Central on James Street will also host live music curated by ‘SuperCrawl,’ Hamilton’s renowned arts and indie music festival.
The 110th Grey Cup, set at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton— with kickoff tonight at 6 p.m., promises an unforgettable experience. Limited tickets are available at Ticketmaster.
