Missing Hamilton teen believed to have taken bus to Mississauga mall

The search is still on for a Hamilton teenager who has been missing for three days.

Lailah Purdy, 15, was last seen leaving a residence in the area of Britannia Avenue and Weir Street North in Hamilton on Saturday, June 29, 2024.

Hamilton Police believe Purdy took a bus from Hamilton to Square One in Mississauga on Sunday (June 30).

“Police are concerned for her well-being,” said police in an appeal to the public on the social media platform X.

Purdy is described as a white 15-year-old teenager who has a fair complexion. She is five-foot-seven and has long, dark brown hair.

The teen was last seen wearing a long black fitted dress, beige shoulder sweater and black croc sandals.

Anyone who knows her whereabouts or has any information on the teen is asked to contact police at 905-546-2929.
