Missing 14-year-old Hamilton boy found dead in Lake Ontario

The 14-year-old who was reported missing over the weekend (July 29), has been found dead, Hamilton Police Service confirm.

On Saturday, police responded to a call near Beach Blvd., east of Hamilton Harbour about a missing teenage boy who went under the water and did not resurface.

Police were told the youth went missing after a group took an inflatable out on the water.

Hamilton Police Service initiated an extensive search and rescue operation, with multiple agencies and organizations joining forces to locate the missing teen.

Police are asking residents to respect the privacy of the friends and family members affected by this tragedy.
