May 3 Weather: Showers, thunderstorm on the way for southern Ontario

The wet weather is back Friday (May 3) in Mississauga and Southern Ontario, and it could arrive with a bang.

You might want to pack that umbrella for later in the day with morning clouds expected to lead to afternoon showers, and then possibility of a thunderstorm to follow, according to the latest forecast by Environment Canada.

Thursday’s sunny skies will be behind us and Friday will be mainly cloudy with 30 percent chance of showers in the afternoon. The high is expected to be 18 degrees Celsius with a UV index of 7 or high.

The clouds and rain will stick around in the evening with a 60 percent chance of showers and the risk of another thunderstorm early in the evening.

The low tomorrow night is expected to be 13 degrees Celsius.
