Man charged after police stop stolen vehicle on highway in Hamilton

Police have charged a Hamilton man regarding a recent stolen vehicle incident.

Police have charged a Hamilton man regarding a recent stolen vehicle incident.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say they were called about a stolen vehicle being operated on the QEW near Fifty Road in Hamilton.

The vehicle in question was stolen from a Hamilton parking lot.

Officers attended the scene and, with assistance from remote vehicle service OnStar, stopped the vehicle.

“Officers boxed in the vehicle while OnStar remotely caused the vehicle to slow,” OPP say.

The vehicle was recovered and 33 year old Hamilton man Adam Carroll has been charged with possession of stolen property.
