For a Hamilton mother and grandmother, the lotto lightning struck twice.

She recently won $50,000 with the Instant $50K.

This isn’t the first big win for Magdolna Kovac, who loves playing Instant games.

She said she won $3 million on an Instant ticket last year at this time.

“This is my second big win,” she was quoted as saying in a press release today (Oct. 31) while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her cheque.

Magdolna said the store clerk was more excited than she was when she told her the news.

“I played my ticket in the store and when I saw I was a winner, I was shocked,” Magdolna said. “My friend called me as I was leaving the store – she couldn’t believe it either!”

Magdolna said with her winnings, she plans to continue to take care of the people she loves.

“It’s unbelievable. I’m stunned,” she said.

Her winning ticket was purchased at Tops Discount Foods on Upper Ottawa Street in Hamilton.
