Another popular Hamilton store on James is closing their doors in the coming weeks.

Another popular Hamilton store on James is closing their doors in the coming weeks.

O’s Clothes, a retailer who has been offering up some iconic Hamilton threads for eight years on James Street South, announced Monday (Feb. 3) via social media, that they will be closing up shop.

“Since opening our doors 8 YEARS AGO the retail landscape has changed drastically. It’s with a heavy heart that I announce O’s is CLOSING its doors,” an Instagram post said.

The post says that in the coming days, the store will be offering their remaining goods at a deeply discounted rate.

O’s is known for their changing selection of Hamilton-themed clothing(ie: their much-adored Roma Pizza line, and Hamont clothing and accessories) and their carefully curated and always changing products from emerging and heritage brands.

They’ve also done much in the way of supporting other businesses in the city, like collaborating with Collective Arts on a tote celebrating the brewery’s 5th anniversary.

Local artisans also found shelf space at O’s as well, and the shop went to great efforts to promote their work via social media.

Earlier this month, The Hamilton Store, also a mainstay on James North, announced that they too would be closing their storefront in 2020.

When all is said and done, James North has seen a lot of changes in the past couple of years and this one, judging from the outpouring of love online, will be felt for some time.

“Thank you for your kindness and generosity and for always making me feel welcomed in your store. Hope to see you down the road,” wrote one Instagram user.

“Sad for you closing but it was made slightly bearable by it being annoyed by Iznane Johnny. You’ll be dearly missed!” quipped a fan on Facebook.

The store will be closing in March 2020.
