This year, Budweiser and Uber are teaming up to provide a safe, affordable transportation option exclusively for Canadian viewers.

In order to prevent people from drinking and driving, Budweiser will be airing a commercial during the big game which will include a promo code that can be used by viewers who have an Uber account (those who don’t simply need to download the app and create an account).

In addition to providing a safe alternative to drinking and driving, the commercial will also pay homage to a previous Budweiser commercial colloquially known as “whassup.”

“We’re excited to be bringing ‘Whassup’ back after 20 years with a modern twist, while simultaneously sending a vital message around making the smart decision to not drive impaired,” Mike D’Agostini, director of marketing for Budweiser Canada, said in a news release.

“We’re thrilled to be working with a premier partner like Uber and proud to be taking the opportunity to use such a massive platform to urge Canadians to choose a smarter way home,” he continued.

“Uber is committed to helping eliminate impaired driving. We’re encouraging Canadians to make responsible choices to help ensure the safety of everyone on the road,” Lindsay Liptok, head of marketing for Uber, said in the same release.

“We’re pleased to work with Budweiser Canada to make it easy to find a smart ride home and help prevent the risks and dangers of driving under the influence,” she continued.
