Heat warning ends for Hamilton, risk of thunderstorm in forecast

Hamilton’s medical officer of health has cancelled the extended heat warning as temperatures cool down with some rain in the forecast today, Friday and Sunday.
The warning was issued on Sept. 5.
Today (Sept. 7) the temperature could reach a high of 27 C with a humidex of 33, a risk of a thunderstorm and a 70-per-cent chance of showers during the day, according to Environment Canada. Early this evening, the forecast calls for a 30-per-cent chance of showers with a low of 17 C.
Friday (Sept. 8) will be cloudy, have a 30-per-cent chance of showers in the afternoon, with a potential high of 23 C and humidex of 28. The low could be 14 C at night.
The weekend will be a mixed bag with Saturday both sunny and cloudy with a high of 23 C and Sunday having a 30-per-cent chance of showers with a high of 20 C during the day and a low of 15 C at night.
