Match dates have been confirmed for Forge FC’s CONCACAF Champions Cup draw against 12x Mexican champion and 2x Champions League titleholder CD (Chivas) Guadalajara.
The Hamilton club, a two-time Canadian Premier League champion and 4x champ overall, will open the two-leg home-and-home series Wednesday, February 7 at 8 p.m. in what will undoubtably be a very chilly Tim Horton’s Field, where the Canadian side might have a small advantage they can try to exploit against their powerful Mexican opponent.
Chivas will host the return leg Tuesday, February 13 at 10 p.m. at Estadio Akron in Zapopan, Mexico.
Season ticket holders will get first crack at the tickets, with the sale to the general public happening Wednesday, December 20 at 10 a.m. For more information on tickets visit https://forgefc.canpl.ca/season-seats or contact a Forge FC ticket representative at (905) 527-3674 or [email protected].
Founded in 1962 (won that year by Chivas), the CONCACAF Champions Cup (previously known as the Concacaf Champions League) is the largest competition held across North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The winner will compete in the FIFA World Club Cup.
Three Canadian clubs, including Forge and Cavalry of the CPL and MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps, will compete for the 2024 title.inthehammer's Editorial Standards and Policies advertising
