It may be a bit frigid outside but on the bright side, all four of Hamilton’s City-run outdoor ice rinks are open for your skating pleasure.

Scheduled to open December 15 (weather permitting, of course), all four are now ready for the blades, with staff on site to maintain the ice up until 10 pm, with lights off at 11 pm.

Hamilton’s four ‘official’ outdoor rinks are located at Freelton Community Park and

Waterdown Memorial Park in Flamborough; Bernie Morelli – Serafini Family Outdoor Ice Pad downtown and Dundas Driving Park in Dundas.

The rinks are weather dependent. During extended periods of above zero temperatures the ice conditions may require a shutdown until the weather cools down again.

Closure notifications will be posted both online and at the park. All scheduled ice sessions are cancelled during closures.

Outdoor City-operated rinks in Hamilton are located at Freelton Community Park (top) and Waterdown Memorial Park in Flamborough, Dundas Driving Park in Dundas and at the Bernie Morelli-Serafini Family Outdoor Ice Pad near downtown.
