Hamilton residents asked to “shelter in place” following possible gun-related incident

Update: Hamilton police have cleared the area, and the shelter-in-place has been lifted.
Police are asking some Hamilton residents to stay where they are following a possible gun-related incident in the city.

This morning (Aug. 9), Hamilton police said that people in and around an apartment building located at 468 Ottawa St. N. should “shelter in place” in response to a domestic violence incident.
Police say the incident involved a “potential firearm.”
