A Hamilton resident has died in a crash north of Huntsville.
Emergency crews rushed to a report of a Side-By-Side (ATV) crash on Rain Lake Road in Kearney on Saturday (Sept. 16) around 4:40 p.m., OPP said in a press release.
Four people were in the ATV — no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
An occupant of the vehicle, a 39-year-old resident of Hamilton, was airlifted to a hospital but, sadly they died of their injuries, police said. A postmortem will be scheduled later.
Two other occupants, a 40-year-old and 36-year-old from Hamilton did not require medical attention.
Julian Desrochers, 35, from Burlington faces charges of operation of a vehicle causing death, and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.
Desrochers was held for a bail hearing.
Members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement Team and OPP Snow machine, All-terrain Vehicle, and Vessel Enforcement (SAVE) are assisting with the investigation.
