Hamilton Police have released a video of what they believe to be a vehicle that was involved in the murder of 42-year-old Giorgio Barresi last month.

Hamilton Police have released a video of what they believe to be a vehicle that was involved in the murder of 42-year-old Giorgio Barresi last month.

On March 2, at approximately 10:45 p.m., Giorgio Barresi returned to his residence on Portofino Place in lower Stoney Creek, where he was confronted in his driveway by a single suspect.

Barresi was shot multiple times and died as a result of his injuries.

Through investigation, police believe the suspect attended the area in a sedan that was parked by the intersection of Portofino Place and Lido Drive.

Police say they believe at least one other individual remained with the suspect vehicle during the incident.

After shooting Barresi, the suspect walked back to this vehicle which then fled south on Lido Drive.

Barresi, who was a popular realtor in the region, leaves behind a wife and three children.

Investigators continue the investigation into the motive behind the murder and are urging those with information to come forward to speak with police.

In a video posted to the Hamilton Police website, Barresi’s wife, Sonia Horta-Barresi, appeals to any possible witnesses to come forward.

“Our family is forever broken; a piece of our hearts is gone,” she said. “George had a beautiful heart. He didn’t deserve what happened to him.

“I am pleading from one parent to another, from one spouse to another, one human being to another, to please help us.”
