Hamilton police are searching for a stolen Ford pick-up truck and a driver who fled police in the truck and caused property damage as a result.

On Monday, October 28, 2019, at approximately 9:00 a.m., the owner of a grey 2004 Ford F350 pick-up truck recognized their vehicle was stolen from their residence in the area of Garth Street and the Lincoln Alexander Parkway.

On Tuesday, October 29, 2019, shortly before 10:30 p.m., a concerned citizen contacted police after observing the vehicle parked in a strip plaza in the area of Limeridge Road West and Kendale Court.

At the time, the occupant of the vehicle was acting in a suspicious manner, police say. When police arrived on the scene, the vehicle sped off.

In an attempt to evade police, the truck mounted the curb and caused property damage to foliage and a fence. It travelled eastbound on the LINC and was last seen northbound on Upper Wentworth Street.

There were no reported injuries during the incident.

The Hamilton Police Service continues to investigate the incident and is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the vehicle.

Drivers in the area at the time are asked to check their dash cameras for any images of the suspect vehicle.

The stolen vehicle is described as a 2004 grey Ford F350 pick–up truck with Ontario licence plate (4532LA).

The image supplied is not the actual vehicle.
