Hamilton Police say they’ve arrested two out-of-town males for trafficking cocaine and crystal meth after the drugs were discovered during a proactive traffic stop.
On Monday (Nov. 4) shortly before 2:30 a.m., a Hamilton Police officer on proactive patrol was travelling eastbound on Main Street near Queen Street south when a grey Ford F150 pick-up truck was observed splitting lanes as it drove down the road.
Through investigation, police learned a warrant for arrest existed for the owner of the vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was confirmed as the registered owner.
He was arrested and removed from the vehicle. At that time, police noted a black bag in the front cabin area. Located inside the bag was a quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine. A further search of the immediate area revealed the presence of a large sum of money.
