Hamilton Police Appeal to Accident Witnesses to Come Forward

Hamilton Police are looking for witnesses to an accident that happened early Saturday (Sept. 28) morning that sent a man in his 60s to hospital with serious injuries.

On Saturday shortly after 4:35 a.m., a 64-year-old man was crossing on Main Street, west of the intersection at Queen Street when he was struck by a vehicle travelling eastbound on Main Street.

The driver of the silver BMW sedan remained at the scene and the injured man was transported to the hospital in stable condition with serious injuries. His status has not changed.

The Hamilton Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the collision and has ruled out alcohol and speed as contributing factors.
