Update: Two-vehicle collision disrupts traffic in Hamilton

Hamilton police said they are investigating a two-vehicle collision today at Queenston and Parkdale in Hamilton, which closed some lanes for a few hours.

The collision destroyed the traffic box, which controls the lights. No one was injured, according to police.

One vehicle was turning right on a green light and the other was going straight when they collided with each other, Hamilton police spokesperson Jackie Penman told inthehammer.com  today (Sept. 29).

City crews are working to repair the traffic lights.

“Traffic will be affected in the area as lanes have been reduced,” Hamilton police said in a post on X, formerly Twitter, just after 10:30 a.m.

The lanes have reopened just before noon.
