Hamilton is about to get its first fully plant-based hot dog stand at the end of this month.

Rainbow Dogs is set to make a two-day debut at Hamilton Burlington SPCA(245 Dartnall Road)  on Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sept. 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The menu includes vegan hotdogs topped with a combination of vegan cheese, plant-based bacon, and hot sauce, and sides like vegan popcorn and more.

Whether you’re a seasoned vegan or simply looking to explore new flavours, the stall aims to satisfy street food cravings with its hotdog creations.

In pursuit of being pet friendly, Rainbow Dogs’ menu will feature a version of a “Pup Cup,” with vegan whipped cream and hot dog slices, a treat for your four-legged buddies.

Each hot dog will be priced at just $5, with an additional charge for premium toppings.

According to their social media post, 50 per cent of the proceeds from their grand opening will be donated to the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA.
