As of Friday (Oct. 9), the City of Hamilton is reporting that 20 patrons of SpinCo Hamilton and one staff member have tested positive for the virus.
The studio closed down earlier this week for two weeks after two patrons and one staff member tested positive.
According to the city’s data, there are 28 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the community on Friday, bringing the total number of cases since March to 1,296.

The number of resolved cases is up to 1,120, about 86 per cent of the city’s overall case count and Hamilton’s COVID-19-related death toll stands at 47.
To date, 87,938 COVID-19 tests have been completed at local assessment centres.
The last two days have seen some of Hamilton’s biggest single-day increases in the daily count of confirmed cases. On Thursday the city reported 24 new cases.
During the first wave, increases this high were typically associated with outbreaks at long-term care facilities.
The number of schools in Hamilton that have confirmed cases of the virus has risen as of Friday as well.
At least four schools in the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) are reporting cases, with a fifth school siting a ‘probable’ case.
The Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board (HWCDSB) are reporting cases in four of their schools.
None of the nine impacted schools are closed.
