OLG says John Huculiak is $500,000 richer after winning with Instant Chrome (Game #2154).
Huculiak, a 47-year-old married father of two, told OLG that he typically plays Poker Lotto and Mega Dice.

“I picked up this ticket because it was something new,” he told OLG.
“I used the Ticket Checker and saw that I won something but had to call the retailer over to confirm what I was seeing. I called my wife to let her know I’d be home late because I won half a million dollars! She was ecstatic.”
Huculiak told OLG that he plans to pay off his mortgage and save some to travel in the future. He would also like to use some for community work.
“There’s lots we want to explore as a result of this win,” he told OLG.
“It’s amazing. I’ve been out of work for a little while, so this eases that frustration. It lets me be home with my kids and in the moment rather than focused on my job search. This is a blessing.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on Barton Street in Hamilton.
OLG is now accepting in-person prize claims by-appointment-only for customers with prizes of $1,000 or more who wish to claim at the OLG Prize Centre.
