Hamilton dad wins 50K in lottery; plans to celebrate big milestone

A Hamilton resident is basking in the glow of a $50,000 win, from the Aug. 4 Daily Keno draw.

The 56-year-old  Walter Etchison, a landscaper by profession, said that he couldn’t contain his excitement when he discovered his triumph.

Upon checking his ticket on his smartphone Etchison said, “It was a pretty nice thing to see!”

Eager to share the joy, he promptly informed his close circle of friends and family about his win.

“Everyone was so happy for me,” Etchinson added.

With his newfound fortune, this Hamiltonian has his sights set on an upcoming milestone – his birthday, just a few weeks away.

“Winning is a different kind of excitement. It’s an exhilarating feeling!”
