Hamilton business targeted in suspected arson, man wanted in connection to crime

A man in his forties with shaggy dark hair and a goatee is wanted for allegedly starting a fire at the back of a commercial business in Hamilton last week.
The fire was quickly extinguished, the building damage was minor and no one was injured, according to Hamilton police.
Police are asking the public for help in identifying the suspect.
He is described as a white man, 40 to 45 years old, with a dark goatee and “chin strap beard.” He has shaggy dark hair and had an older model bicycle. He was carrying a yellow No Frills reusable bag and black backpack.
They said police and the Hamilton fire department responded to the Oct. 5 incident at about 3 p.m. behind a commercial business in the area of Lottridge Street and Barton Street.
“Through video surveillance obtained during the investigation, it has been determined the fire was deliberately set,” according to the force’s press release.
He was wearing a black baseball hat with a white Yellowstone logo, a black Puma golf shirt, a gold watch on his left wrist, dark jeans and black running shoes.
