Growing concern surrounds the disappearance of a 30-year-old man who went missing after sending his last text message to friends on Friday while walking to a close by business of his residence in Hamilton

Hamilton Police are appealing to the public for their help in safely locating Michael Broadbent who was last seen around 6:30 p.m.,  in the Concession Street and Hamilton Avenue area on Dec. 22.

Investigators describe Broadbent as being 5-foot-8 in height with a thin build. He has light brown hair and blue eyes.

Broadbent was wearing a black winter jacket with brown fur hood, black cargo pants, grey slip-on shoes the night he went missing.

Authorities report that Broadbent left his residence, informing friends he was heading to a nearby business—though police have not disclosed the specific location.

Police say friends last heard from Broadbent through a text message with his last one sent at 9:30 p.m.

Since then, Broadbent hasn’t returned home or been in touch with his family or friends.
