Flaming truck discovery triggers arson probe in Hamilton

Hamilton police have launched an arson investigation after they discovered a Black GMC pickup on fire overnight.

Police and emergency partners responded to reports of a fire in the area of Sparling Avenue and Rymal Road at about 1 a.m. today (Sept. 28), Hamilton police told inthehammer.com in an email.

No one was injured.

Police found a Black GMC pickup “fully engulfed in flames.”

“Hamilton Fire responded and extinguished the fire before it caused damage to any other structures,” police told inthehammer.com today (Sept. 28). “The investigation has been forwarded to Arson as it has been deemed suspicious.”

The Hamilton Spectator reported that the fire happened on a home’s driveway.
