Winter is coming to Hamilton and with it an epic battle.
CBC’s Battle of the Blades is being filmed in Hamilton at FirstOntario Centre starting Thursday (Sept. 19) over the next couple weeks and tickets to the live tapings are still available.
Fans of Canada’s two favourite ice sports — figure skating and hockey — can watch as world-class athletes pair up to compete in this high-stakes figure skating competition.
Competitors will be raising money for their charity of choice.

Hockey Night in Canada’s Ron MacLean hosts the show, while four-time Canadian and four-time World champion figure skater Kurt Browning serves as head judge and Olympic Games ice dance champions, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir will be rink-side as guest judges for select episodes.
