Driver wanted after hit and run of dogwalker in Hamilton

An unidentified driver is wanted after striking a pedestrian who was out walking their dog.

The pedestrian was out with their dog down Jameston Ave. around 11:30 p.m. on March 6. They were struck by a passing grey hatchback and had to be taken to hospital. The dog was not hurt.

Investigators have requested all residents in the area to check their security cameras for footage of the crash.

“Public cooperation and assistance are greatly appreciated as we work to piece together the events surrounding this incident, the service wrote, “Your Hamilton Police Service is committed to ensuring the safety and security of our community. ”
